Warmer weather brings patio season, backyard BBQ’s, and a desire to find a refreshing ice cold beverage to cool us down on hot days. One of my favorite drinks to make in the summer is a naturally sweetened Hibiscus Ice Tea. I make a big jug on the weekend so I have it in the fridge for the week.

The unicorn food trend has taken social media by storm, even Starbucks jumped on this food trend with their unicorn drink. Rainbow food is of course fun and pretty, but much of this food trend includes food dyes, artificial flavors, and more chemicals which are no fun to our digestive system.

Our skin is the largest detoxification organ we have and is also often the first thing people notice when they met you. In 2018, the U.S. will spend nearly $11 billion dollars on skin care products. Layering things onto our skin that can often add further toxins into our body and clog our pores (slowing natural detoxification processes) can sometimes have the opposite effect long-term we are looking for with these products. I love turning to foods that can nourish our beauty from the inside-out.
