When I got out of University, with my degree in Community Rehabilitation, I got a job, worked really hard and within 4 years I moved from an entry level position to becoming an Executive Director of a government-funded organization. In addition to the long hours I worked, I had a baby, a 3-year-old, a house, my partner and my busy life. I was just too busy with work/ being a mom to take good care of myself. People would always ask me, “How do you do it all?” or “Won’t you burn out?” to which I always replied, “No, I’m fine, I can handle it”
During our meetings with Joanna, we found her to be extremely helpful in planning options that suited both our lifestyle and preferences. She went out of her way to make sure that we felt comfortable, and was eager to make suggestions and work with our specific needs. A little nervous at first, but Joanna was sure to provide us with the information that we needed to make informed choices, as well as adjust her plan, so that we were able to transition to a healthier lifestyle, at a pace and comfort level that best suited us. What really impressed me about Joanna’s approach, was her attention to my lifestyle & designing a program that I could easily implement. I just had a baby, so I wasn’t going to be able to spend a lot of time in the kitchen making elaborate meals. Her questions were very in depth, she took the time to understand the things that were important to me, where I wanted to improve and prepared an individualized plan for me that was responsive to my lifestyle and the types of foods and ingredients that I had access to.
Joanna is a very warm and caring woman and that came through in the interview process. Many of the questions are quite detailed and personal. Joanna made it easy to answer and I always felt comfortable sharing as I knew she would respect my privacy. Joanna combines that nurturing attitude with strong technical knowledge to give you a very positive experience and a plan I can rely on to be right for me as an individual.
50 lbs of weight loss! My name is Elizabeth, and I have been working with Joanna over the past 6 months on a health plan for a woman I work for, who has various medical diagnoses. I met with Joanna monthly to make adjustments and changes to the plan based on her likes, dislikes and to provide variety in her meal plan. In the process of this, the women lost 50lbs from the diet plan Joanna created. I have noticed that she wants to be more active, sleeps better, and has a lot more energy. Lastly, I have noticed a reduction in her daily seizure activity. I would highly recommend working with Joanna on your health.
