What is there not to love about Nice Cream? It is a rich, creamy, and dairy-free dessert you can whip up in minutes when you have a craving for something sweet. You don’t need to add sweetener if you don’t want too and the flavor combinations are endless.  In it’s simplest form, nice cream is frozen banana’s that are blended to make a type of soft serve.

I find the trick to a perfect nice cream is to let your bananas get as brown as possible, this creates a sweeter, caramel taste and then toss them into the freezer for whenever the craving strikes to make some nice cream. Adding in raw cacao powder, dark chocolate chunks or nuts can really enhance your nice cream treat, while keeping it a healthier option than conventional ice cream.

Pineapple Chocolate Chunk Nice Cream

Pineapple Chocolate Chunk Nice Cream is a big hit in our house! It is rich, creamy and the tropical flavors paired with the dark chocolate is a perfect combination on a hot day or when you are watching a movie and want a quick treat.

Total Time 6 minutes
Servings 2

Ingredients
  

  • 2 banana, frozen
  • 2-3 cups frozen pineapple
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Agar Powder (optional thickener)
  • 2-3 oz 70% dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a blender minus the chocolate and process until thick and smooth.
  • Scoop into a glass dish and mix in chopped chocolate chunks
  • Place in the freezer for 1 hour, scoop into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

This Nice Cream will keep in the freezer for 2 weeks (if you can make it last that long without eating it all in one sitting)
