This Mermaid Smoothie takes me away, even on the dullest mornings to a far-away tropical place. This smoothie is not only quick and easy to prepare but very nutrient dense. The beautiful ocean color is from special blue-green algae. Yes, algae. Wait- here me out!

Adding this powder does not make the smoothie taste like the sea, but just looks like it, which is a real bonus. This blue-green algae powder is one of the most nutrient-dense foods in the world. Mermaid Superfood Smoothie

Take your senses away to a tropical beach with this beautiful turquoise Mermaid Superfood Smoothie. Its a georgeous way to start your day!
Servings 1

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1 tbsp omega 3 oil
  • 1 scoop blue-algae powder

Topping (optional)

  • 1 tbsp blueberries
  • 1 tsp bee pollen
  • 2-3 slices kiwi

Instructions
 

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy.
  • Top with optional kiwi, blueberries and bee pollen or whatever you like.

Notes

To make this smoothie into a smoothie bowl, freeze the banana ahead of time and/or add 1/4 cup of ice to attain the desired smoothie bowl consistency and top with all your favourite superfoods.
