There are foods that can cause our stomach to bloat and fill with gas, these can often be some of the healthiest foods! Lentils, broccoli, and peppers are some of the worst offenders. Celery contains phytonutrients that fall into the category of phenolic antioxidants that are known to provide anti-inflammatory benefits and specifically lower the activity of inflammatory molecules such as interleukins. Thanks to the flavonoid antioxidants such as luteolin, quercetin, and apigenin, cucumbers have a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacity.

Apples have the power to influence our overall digestive functions, regulation of blood sugars, and impact carbohydrate metabolism. Not too mention all the fiber and nutrition it delivers, while providing a natural sweetness to this juice. Hale, Kale! When our liver becomes sluggish and digestion is slow, toxins can backup and cause many issues within our body. The ITCs (isothiocyanates) in kale have been seen to regulate detox activities and support both stage 1 & 2 of our body’s cellular detoxification processes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 green apple, core removed
  • 1 whole lemon, rind on
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled
  • 3 stems of kale
  • 1 english cucumber
  • 1 small head celery

Instructions
 

  • wash all your fruits and vegetables well. For my apple cider, vinegar produce wash get the link in the recipe notes below.
  • Place everything through your juicer. Stir well and enjoy.

Notes

Juice is best drank within the first 24-hours for optimal nutrient density.
